بیشترIt has not changed, it's just that each map maker decides how to represent map elements. If you look at OpenStreetMap site, paths are represented different from wikiloc and mine. Tracks are sometimes labeled with a grade. I can find definitions of the grades on the OpenStreetMap Wiki.

بیشترavoid too short road segments (especially on intersections) avoid two-roads side by side, when osm data contains multiple tracks for a road; maybe allow selecting which type of roads should be made in CS - currently it's using hard-coded defaults; better estimates for node counts (current estimates are way higher than actual number of nodes ...
بیشترDescription Unpaved Dirt Discussion Other Names Graded Road, Gravel Road Jeep Trail Most unpaved highways in the Mid-West are graded, that is they are levelled and widened using locally extracted and crushed rock, and the surface then smoothed with a grader.Routine maintenance involves cutting off the top layer to eliminate the washboarding effect. . بیشترOSM Can-BICS. We applied the Can-BICS classification to OSM data to create an up-to-date and extensive map of bicycle facilities across Canada using nomenclature that reflects safety and comfort priorities. We completed ground-truthing of the data using aerial and ground-level imagery at over 2,168 locations in 15 cities.
بیشترI am DEFINING many UNPAVED roads as UNPAVED, Why can't OSM show NON-PAVED roads as something DIFFERENT on the MAP PAGE than PAVED roads. I have to select each road to 'see' if it is PAVED or NOT. If they showed it on the map as a different linetype, it would be easier to fix more roads FASTER. Greg.
بیشترReplace the '???' with pairs of values like: {{key=highway}} {{value=motorway}} Consult the OSM wiki page listing map features You'll see (scroll down the page) that data lines within OSM are tagged with a key/value pair like highway=motorway, or natural=river. A query simply looking for the highway key will return all sorts, from motorways to ...
بیشترIn Italy, in the Alps, we have a few classified roads which are unpaved. For instance, the Strada dell'Assietta is classified as a provincial road, where provincial means smaller than regional: Link (sorry for google translator) Althought it is unpaved, I wouldnt tag it with highway=track, since it's not used for agriculture or forestry.

Openstreetmap.org in Edit mode will show you paved vs unpaved, assuming that that data has been tagged on the roads you're looking at. Unpaved roads appear with a "wavy" or "jagged" border, whereas paved (or untagged) roads appear straight.

بیشترThe OSM data (which is the source of the map data Garmin uses in the default maps provided on the unit) classify that path as "unpaved". Maybe, somebody changed the classification recently. I wonder if automobile routing might be more reliable, although I saw a thread saying it's broken at the moment.
بیشتر"Unpaved roads" are typically only suitable for off-road vehicles. The routing settings are required for both Base Camp and in the GPS device. The shorter the distance the "better" routing result (e.g. <30 km). Road barriers such as bollards are currently not consideredfor routing. Recommendation for BaseCamp 4.x and GPS device:

بیشترBoth OSM and CN appear to have pretty much the same roads on them. It's possible that OSM might have more 'trails' (off-road information), but I didn't investigate this, because my ST1100 is pretty much a pavement-only motorcycle. CN contains far more 'road attributes' than OSM (paved vs. unpaved, road width, speed limits, etc.).
